The origins of Château d’Es-Bons probably date back to the 13th century, when it was a monastery of Franciscan monks. Since 1927, the Streit family has been managing the vineyard under the Bio Suisse label, which allows for the preservation of a great biodiversity. The vineyard is located north of the castle, facing south, on a moraine with a medium slope and a medium-heavy, relatively calcareous soil.
